How to Send Custom Surveys

Send manual surveys if you want to get feedback on items the automated surveys don't cover

There are two parts to Flamingo's Survey Program:
  1. Automated Surveys
  2. Custom Surveys, also known as, Manual Surveys. 

1) Automated Surveys: Flamingo sends the following surveys automatically to your residentsThe surveys pop up on the app once a month including a push notification or residents get an email. Residents can respond or simply dismiss them. The surveys take less than a second to complete.
  • Tour*: after a tour
  • Move-In: 10 days after move-in
  • Renewal Intent Survey: 1st of the each month
  • Happiness Survey: 15th of each month
  • Event Survey: after every resident event
  • Maintenance: after every maintenance request
  • Move-Out: 10 days after move-out

2) Custom Surveys, also known as Manual Surveys: these are surveys that you send yourself. To send a manual survey

  • Navigate to Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Communication > Communication > Surveys
  • Click the "Add Survey" button
  • Add a Survey Title
  • Add the response options, which are the Answers that residents can select amongst. 
  • Enter the Survey Duration, which is how long you want the survey to be open for responses
  • Review and edit the Survey Options settings where you 
    • Allow tenants / residents to choose multiple answers
    • Allow tenants / residents to add options
    • Allow Tenants / residents to see results
    • Allow tenants / residents to add comments
    • Make survey recurring
  • Click Save and the survey will be sent to residents and residents can complete the survey directly within the social feed of the resident app. 
Note that at the moment, you can only send one question surveys and residents can only complete the surveys on the app. By end of Q1 of 2024, you'll be able to have multi-question surveys and residents will also be able to complete the surveys on the web, not just on the app.






Here is how to review your custom survey results:

Once residents start completing the survey, you can view the custom survey results by navigating back to Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Communication > Surveys
