The Old Way: Spend hours planning an event that no one shows up for and gain limited ROI.

The New Way with Flamingoโ€™s Resident Event Management: Quickly add your event to your event calendar and it automatically shows up on the resident app and digital screens. Flamingo collects RSVPs, sends out reminders, rewards residents for attending, collects post event survey data, and prompts residents that attend to leave a review on Google or other review websites.

NavigationDashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Event Calendar > Add Event

Here are the reasons to use this feature:
  • Track Event Attendance Data: You'll now be able to know exactly how many residents attend events and can quickly present this to leadership to show ROI and get more event budget.
  • No More Surprises: What's worst than no one attending an event? Too many people attending the event! With RSVPs, you'll know beforehand if you have enough supplies for your event.
  • Boost Attendance with Automated Reminders: Flamingo sends automated reminders to get remind residents to attend - help you boost attendance.

Here is How to Manage Resident Events With Flamingo's Event Management and RSVPs

Step 1: Add your Resident Event to your Event Calendar, Resident App, & Digital Lobby Screens

As soon as you add the event to your event calendar, the event automatically shows up on your Flamingo resident app and your Flamingo digital lobby screens.

Navigation: Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Event Calendar

Step 2:  Flamingo's automated Event Marketing notifies residents of this new event via app push notifications, digital screen notifications, and email notifications

Flamingo also automatically sends out reminders before the event to boost attendance and ensure that those that signed up, actually show up. And those that haven't yet signed up, can reconsider.

Additionally, residents that follow each other on the app are notified if someone that they follow signed up for an event. E.g. if Mary and Jane follow each other, and Mary signs up for an event, then Jane is notified of this so that she can attend as well.

Step 3: Residents RSVP for the event on your resident app after receiving automated marketing

Step 4: Monitor event attendance or download an attendee report directly from the event calendar.

When residents sign up for your events, you can view or monitor event attendance by navigating to Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Event Calendar.

On the event calendar, you can click on the date of the event and then on the event itself to see the people that have RSVPed. You can also click on the "Download Report" button to download a report to see people that RSVPed for or attended an event.

If you need to check people into the event, you can click on the name of the event on the calendar and then click on "Check-In" and you can check people in.

Step 5: Boost event attendance and engagement by offering eGift card rewards for residents that attend the event and/or submit pictures from the event.

Combine events with Flamingo's Resident Rewards program to boost event attendance and generate event pictures that you can post on social media.

Step 6: Check-in attendees at the start of and during the event for accurate attendance tracking.

While not required, you can use Flamingo's Event Check-In feature to check-in residents at the start of the event.

You can do so using any device - phone, tablet, or computer. Simply navigate to Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Event Calendar.

  1. Select the desired event
  2. Then click on the 3 Dots on the Upper right hand corner.
  3. Click on "Check In"
  4. Check or Uncheck resident names
  5. Click on "Next"
  6. Then on the next screen, confirm the attendance number and click "Confirm".
Note that if you do not check-in attendees, our system assumes that the people that RSVPed are the people that also attended. And this is the number used in your analytics and attendance report.

If there are too many people at the event to check-in, you can simply do a head count and enter that number.

You can check in both residents that have RSVPed and those that did not RSVP.

To check in those that didn't RSVP, simply search for their name in the search field.

Step 7: Automatically collect post event feedback automatically for internal tracking

Step 8: Post event pictures to your resident app social, digital lobby screens, and on social media using Flamingo's Social Media Management feature.

Posting post event pictures creates Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) so that residents that missed out on this event will be sure to attend the next event.

Step 9: Automatically generate online reviews with automated prompts to the residents that attended the event

Flamingo's Review Generation Feature automatically sends review request prompts to residents that attended the event so that you can boost online reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, Apartments.Com, Apartment Ratings, and Apartment Guide.

Here is How Flamingo's Free Event Management Feature To Manage Your Event or Event RSVPs:

  • 3) Complete the "Add Event" details page including adding the event type, event name, event description, max number of participants, etc. And click "Add Event" once all the required details are added.
