How do paid amenity reservations or deposits work?

Here are the two ways to set up paid amenities:
  1. Offline Payment: If you select offline payments, residents can book paid amenities but your team will have to charge them outside of Flamingo. E.g. on your ledger. 
  2. Online Payments: If you use Flamingo's payment system, then Flamingo collects payment and deposits the payments into your connected back account. Note that you have to connect a bank account to use this option. 

If a resident reserves a paid amenity or an amenity with a deposit, they are charged for the reservation amount and a hold is made on their credit card for the amount deposit. 

After the amenity reservation is completed, you'll get an email to check the amenity for damages. If there are damages, you go into the amenity reservation module and charge them the fee.

If you don't do anything within 24 hours, the amount held is released back to the resident automatically.
