Scanning Packages

How to scan Packages

Flamingo's package scanning and management feature lets you scan packages and your residents are notified automatically every 48 hours until they pick up the package.

How it works:
  1. Go to Dashboard.getflamingo.com on your cell phone or iPad
  2. Sign In > Manage > Package Management
  3. Scan a package by tapping on the barcode scanner icon
  4. Upload the phone and enter the relevant details if they aren't completed automatically by the scan
    1. Tracking Number
    2. Description or Notes (optional)
    3. Select the resident from the drop down list. If there resident isn't listed on the dropdown list, you can manually enter their email by selecting "Send By email"
    4. Carrier
    5. Date Delivered
    6. Pickup Location
  5. The resident will be notified they have received a package by email and push notification (if they have the app)
  6. When the resident picks up the package, click on status and change it to from "Notified" to "Pick Up"
  7. The resident is notified every 48 hours until they pick up the package.
