How to Manage Your Resident Rewards Program
There are two ways you can reward residents:
- Manually: manually send eGift Cards or eVisa Cards to resents.
- Automatically: set up what actions earn rewards. Then residents automatically earn the reward when that action is completed. e.g. Event Attendance.
Here is How to Manually Send a Resident Reward
- Login at Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Resident Rewards Program > Send Reward Manually
- Then enter the Reward amount
- Connect a Funding source - note that you must connect a credit card
- Enter Reason for the resident reward
- Select the Resident or Residents to receive the reward
- And then click Save
They can redeem as an eGift for 100s of brands, redeem as a eVisa Card, deposit into their bank account or donate to charity. It's up to them.
This feature also helps you keep track of all your spending on gifts card and which residents have received them. This should make your accounting team very happy.
Here is How to Set Up Automatic Resident Rewards
- Login at Dashboard.GetFlamingo.Com > Manage > Resident Rewards Program > Automated Reward Settings
- Connect a Funding source - note that you must connect a credit card
- Decide if you want your rewards program to be "Point Based" instead of "Dollars Based." Point Based means residents earn points that translate to Dollars at a 100 Reward Points = $1 conversion Rate. We recommend using a Dollars Based system since it keeps things simple for residents.
- Use "Enable rewards for all activities?" to reward residents for all listed behaviors or Select only certain behaviors. The reward options are: Attending Resident Events, Posting on the Social Feed, Sending Event Pictures, Completing various Surveys, Completing Move-In Tasks, Early Renewal, Submitting Maintenance Request
- For each action or behavior that you turn on to reward, enter Reward amount that the resident should earn upon completing that action.
- For each action or behavior that you turn on to reward, enter the Monthly resident limit to restrict individual residents from earning more than that amount each month. Once a resident has earned the limit, they cannot earn anymore even if they do more of the rewarded action or behavior.
- For each action or behavior that you turn on to reward, enter the Monthly building limit to restrict the whole building from earning more than that amount each month. Once monthly building limits has been reached, then no residents can earn anymore.
- And then click Save
Note: You need to link a debit or credit card to use this feature. Funds for the gift cards are drawn from this account at the start of each month for the upcoming month minus any left over amounts not used during the previous month.
E.g. If your monthly budget for Automated Resident Rewards is $1000, then at the start of each month, your linked credit card will be charged $1000. If at the end of the month, residents have only earned $900, it means you have a balance of $100. So this amount will be deducted from next months charge so that you are only charged $900 the next month.
